The Story Behind

According to Wikipedia, “The MLSA program is an educational and promotional program to sponsor undergraduate and postgraduate students majoring in disciplines related to technology, typically computer science, computer information systems, and information technology. MLSA program aims to enhance students’ employability and increase students’ awareness of Microsoft technologies. Student Partners are offered training especially in product-specific skills not typically taught in academia.”

I first saw the MLSA program on our university email address. So I attended the session and one participant in the audience asked if it was only limited to students pursuing computer science. The response was simple, anyone can apply! So I applied lol

Application

The application process is easy and straight to the point. I visited the official website for MLSA and applied. I was exploring the unknown world while competing with students whom I thought were better suited for the opportunity more than I. I got accepted and I was elated, you can imagine!

The program

The program is amazing. There is a roadmap of growth. Importantly, there are a lot of resources to be used for growth. I did my first course under Microsoft learn and I proceeded to the alpha level. Later I did my first event and proceeded to the Beta level.

The Success Story

MLSA for me has been an amazing opportunity to grow and learn. I have made wonderful friends with whom I will grow my career with. I have received help from all people around me at any time. I have learnt the power of having a great community. As I work for the Gold level, the best thing I have picked out of MLSA is that I can and I will Be A Force For Good.

In part two, I will talk about my balance between the community and studying medicine.

Shukran (Thanks)
